Weaving Connection, Creating Change
Story Nest is a creative response to a world in drastic change.
Locals know our much-loved Wild Ground outdoor programs located in the Blue Mountains, NSW Australia. We facilitate nature immersion and nature play sessions aiming to reconnect children and adults back to each other, themselves and nature – away from the distraction of screens.
Storytelling is one of the major creative tools we use in our teaching practice with both adults and children, and in our professional development workshops for educators. We love sharing stories in the traditional sense, particularly if there's a campfire involved! But we also use informal and improvised storytelling games and practices in less formal ways for therapeutic, educational or connection means.
We're really excited to be sharing our Story Nest creative offerings with you and your families. Stories and poems you can enjoy at home together again and again, and nature packs delivered to your doorstep, designed to delight and inspire child-led play and nature connection.
In an uncertain world, we’re feeling the need to hold our children close, and to build connection and community.
We look forward to gathering together in person again soon.
