Connecting with ourselves, each other and the earth
This workshop provides some space to slow down and listen to yourself and the world around you. No writing experience is required. If you’ve attended previous poetry workshops with us or if this will be your first, we’re so excited to welcome you!
Whether or not you think of yourself as a writer, your voice and words are important and needed, as you speak for the ecology you are.
We invite you into some stillness, into a nurturing experience of being with yourself, in community, and leaning into your ecology and co-creativity. This is an opportunity to allow the streams of words waiting inside you to flow out in a supportive space. We invite you to be alive to your senses and the living breathing world sustaining you.
In this workshop we will be hearing our hearts, hearing our ecologies, hearing each other and speaking some truths together. Perhaps you might come away with a poem you love, and perhaps you might come away with some tools to support some poems to flow freely into the future.
About the facilitators:
Julie and Dan are both experienced writers who treasure the act of writing poetry, most especially in connection with community and nature. As both writing and nature connection facilitators, this workshop brings together our two great loves!
What you’ll get from our workshop:
A chance to slow down and catch your breath during the “silly” season
A two-hour nurturing, creative space carved out just for YOU!
An opportunity to use writing practices to connect with nature, yourself and each other.
Writing Tools to free up the flow of your words into the future
A digital resource guide filled with tips and techniques for nature connection and writing practices to use in your home
You DO NOT need to be a writer.
You WILL need something to write with, and the willingness to try something new…
…a willingness to sink into connection with the world around you
…a willingness to PLAY and CREATE without needing to make a “good” piece of art!
